Both beautiful and practical, enhance your space with plantation shutters
Plantation shutters are designed for style, flexibility, and practicality. Constructed for either indoor or outdoor living spaces, plantation shutters will enhance the outside view of your house and add an element of style to your home with their sleek contemporary finish.
Control the amount of light you receive during the day and shut the world out at night without interrupting the passage of cool air into your house. They are particularly useful for windows facing the street for privacy, and for east and west facing rooms that might be affected by the morning and afternoon sun glare. Plantation shutters are highly durable for classic Australian bad weather.

Care Instructions
To best maintain your shutters, clean them at least weekly with just the vacuum using a brush attachment. For wooden shutters, spraying a dusting cloth with wood polish and dusting thoroughly provides a more in-depth clean. Vinyl or painted shutters should be washed thoroughly using a cloth dipped in warm water and dish soap. Rinse with water and dry with a towel or paper towel afterward. For small crevices or hard to reach areas of your shutters, consider using a toothbrush sprayed with your cleaning agent of choice. If your shutters are external and hard to reach, consider using a hose or pressure water system or ladder to reach it.

From your choice of living room rug to the colour you paint the walls, your living room design determines how comfortable and welcome you, your family and guests feel in your home. In this article, we’ll discuss why the living room is so critical to the home and how you can create your perfect living room design.
The bohemian aesthetic is all about showing off your eclectic side. Few other style trends so easily demonstrate a relaxed, carefree nature combined with an immutable sense of style and worldliness.
Windows and window treatments are an integral part of any design – they can be the difference between a light, spacious kitchen and a closed-off utilitarian space. Think about how often you catch yourself staring out of your kitchen window, taking in peaceful views while your hands are busy doing the boring work. We spend a lot of time using the windows in our kitchens, but it’s important we have the ability to cover them when needed for insulation and privacy.
Bathrooms often present a challenge in terms of creating a space that is highly durable in the face of constantly humid and damp conditions. However, one of the last considerations for many people when fitting out their bathroom is the choice of window furnishings. Blinds are a natural fit for the bathroom, but what should you know when choosing yours?
Colour selection can be a difficult process when choosing to buy a new rug online or a carpet to add to your home. Too many colours can overwhelm a room and make it feel very busy and cluttered, while not enough colour variation can leave a room looking stark and boring.
Many people dream of living in a home with ample space, where they don’t have to feel cramped or closed in by their furniture and belongings. However, more room doesn’t necessarily guarantee more comfortable living.
Whether you’re building, renovating, or simply wanting to refresh your interior space, window coverings are an important and necessary aspect of any interior room.
Arguably, there is no single room in the typical family home that works harder than the laundry room. Whether it's the washing machine rinsing and scrubbing your kids' grass-stained jeans or the dryer handling your workout shorts and T-shirts, the laundry space is your first and last line of defence for preserving the freshness of your clothes.
Scandinavian interior design, popularised by influential Dane, Swedish and Nordic designers throughout the 1800s and 1900s, has shaped contemporary design in a big way. Figures like Hans Wegner, Josef Frank and Kaare Klint are just some of the masterminds behind the now ubiquitous aesthetic. These artists preceded and blazed a trail for Scandinavian design’s boom in popularity, which didn’t start until the 1950s. But today, Scandinavian interior design is all the rage — and with the help of social media, arguably more accessible and prominent than it’s ever been.
When a bedroom doesn't have enough storage space, it’s often a deal breaker. People need a place to keep all of their stuff, after all — and preferably out of sight. With small bedrooms, cramming in more storage solutions can feel counterintuitive since you’re already limited on space, to begin with. Well, the good news is that you’re not restricted to what your living space offers by default in terms of storage; there are ways to tastefully and brilliantly cache your belongings when you’re working with a tiny bedroom. Here are some small bedroom storage ideas and tips for maximising floor space.
For a bedroom interior design style that reflects a live-for-the-moment outlook on life, look no further than modern decor. Originating from sources like Bauhaus, the Germany-based school of fine arts that operated during the early 20th century, modern decor is as popular today as it's ever been. In fact, it's a design style that is often applied to every space in the home, kitchen, guest bedroom, master bedroom or otherwise.
Of all the surfaces in your home, your carpet is arguably the most susceptible to stubborn stains. From dirt and debris that tracks in from the outside to mishandled food and beverages that spill, the carpet is perpetually at risk for one stain after another. And the more carpet that you have in the home, the more likely it'll eventually fall victim to blotches and blemishes from offending sources.
The kitchen is usually the room of your home with the most foot traffic; it's where everyone goes to gather. But it's also the most lived-in space for your always-on appliances and infrastructure, such as the oven, stove, fridge, microwave and more. In short, your kitchen is the household hub for just about everything that's important.
Are you thinking about installing a new timber floor in your newly purchased home and wondering how it will look in real life? Is your bathroom in need of a serious facelift, but you're unsure about the style you want or the decor? Is your dream kitchen an island away from becoming a reality, but you're worried it might not fit into your small space? When it comes to achieving the desired interior design of your home, your options are limited only by your mind's eye. However, unless you're particularly adept at drawing, putting your thoughts down on the page is challenging.
