DETERMINE WHAT TYPE OF FLOORING YOU WANT

At Carpet Call, we import only the finest stock of timber, vinyl and laminate flooring from around the world. Our floating floors are a quick and easy flooring solution that can be laid directly over any clean, level, flat surface much faster than traditional hardwood flooring.

  • Vinyl Flooring by US Floors – A luxury vinyl plank flooring with high-end construction in a variety of beautiful wood grains styles. Unlike some other LVP products on the market that use simulated graphics, our vinyls have real texture and real graining and a micro bevel edge for a true, hardwood flooring look. One of the major benefits of this product is its stain-resistant protective coating, which allows for less maintenance required than actual solid or engineered hardwoods! • Timber flooring by Universal – A 3-layer cross-linked constructed timber flooring option made from sustainable plantation hardwood timber. Quicker to install than conventional tongue and groove timber flooring systems, and ready for use immediately after installation due to no glues needed, our timber flooring is produced under the most stringent quality controls in the industry and backed by a lifetime manufacturing guarantee.
  • Laminate Flooring by Pergo – our laminates are constructed of quality HDF (high density fibre board) that is scratch and scuff resistant, easy to maintain, and protected from swelling. Premium underlayment comes attached with some floors, which saves installation time and absorbs sound for a quieter space. There are over 25 different designs and colours to choose from in a range of qualities and styles to suit everybody’s budget.

MEASURE UP YOUR SPACE

Once you know what flooring option you want, to get a rough idea of what square meterage you might need – and subsequently the affordability of the project – it’s best to measure out your space!

  1. Take detailed measurements
  2. Create an on-scale drawing including doorways, fireplaces, built-ins or other structure that change the floor’s flow.
  3. Calculate your room’s square meterage by multiplying length by width, allow for some wastage, and you’re done!
  4. Note the subfloor type and condition as floor prep is a common requirement for a long trouble-free installation, even in new homes!

Note: If you have an irregularly shaped room, divide the area into smaller squares and rectangles, calculating the square footage of each, then add the square footage of each area together for the room’s total square footage.

It’s best to buy 10% more flooring than what you think you need, to allow for repairs down the line. Store any left-over product somewhere where the temperature and moisture won’t damage it, such as under the bed or in the top of a linen closet.

INSTALLATION: A JOB FOR PROFESSIONALS

Our floating floor method of installation allows your new flooring to be laid directly over the top of any, clean, level surface, be that concrete, tiles, chipboard or solid hardwood. Using a precisely engineered interlocking system that holds each piece in place, floating floors are a popular choice for homeowners who want an easy to install, cheap to lay floor that can transform an entire house without the large expense and chaos that come with other types of flooring.

With all our supplier operations and installations done internally, we deliver high quality flooring, cheaper and smarter. 100% Australian owned and operated, we have been in the flooring business for over 40 years and take great pride in providing only the highest quality of work.
